What is this appeal for?
Phoenix House is a child abuse prevention and counselling service in Queensland. It has been in operation since 1995. We are collecting funds for new premises to operate all or programmes from. Some of these programmes have specific requirements that we cannot meet in our current leased premises, for example, our equine therapy programme, and our therapeutic preschool. How will the funds be used?
The funds will be specifically used to purchase land and erect new premises for our organisation. Funding saved from not having to lease premises will also allow us to employ another counsellor/educator for the service.
Key areas of expenditure for funds donated:
- Purchase land
- Purchase building materials
- Labour costs
- Purchase equipment and furnishings for new premises
